GENERAL RULES/INSTRUCTIONS/GUIDELINES FOR STUDENTS

  1. Students are expected to join school on the notified date at the beginning of the session.
  2. Every student and school Appointee should wear his/her Identity card and the respective badges daily.
  3. Non- bus commuters should arrive at school 5 minutes before the school starts.
  4. Attendance on all National festival days and school functions is mandatory for students.
  5. Students are advised to develop a habit of reading the school Notice Board daily to update their awareness about school events.
  6. Changing of classroom between periods should be done in silence and in a disciplined manner.
  7. Each student will be assigned a seat in his/her class which cannot be changed at his or her own will. A prior permission is to be sought from his/her class teacher.
  8. Students are expected to observe discipline and decorum in their behavior in and outside the school as it reflects the image of the school.
    • They should observe polite manners wherever they go.
    • They should always be friendly with others in all circumstances.
  9. Students should accept whatever work is assigned to them and be ready to face any challenge.
  10. Students should always be ready to lend a helping hand to their parents, brothers and sisters, teachers, companions, and to any unattended visitor whom they meet in the school premises and wish them.
  11. Students should never cheat or be unfair but should always be truthful.
  12. Respect and appreciate the beauty of the classroom, and of the school premises. Any damage observed & should immediately be reported.
  13. Students should never hesitate to say ‘NO’ when asked or tempted to do anything wrong.
  14. Students are expected to show respect to the teachers at all times. When the teacher enters or leaves the classroom, students should stand up to wish the teacher.
  15. Use the word ‘PLEASE’ while asking for something and ‘THANK YOU’ while receiving and ‘EXCUSE ME’ when others’ conversation has to be interrupted.
  16. The students must take care of their belongings e.g. books, money, clothes etc. Anything left behind by the students in the school shall be deposited in the school office as lost property which shall be given back to the owner on claiming it. However, the school is not responsible for any such loss.
  17. Students should resist from undesirable behavior like whistling, shouting or running in the corridors or in the class while in the school.
  18. Student not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter their classrooms.
  19. School property like furniture, walls etc. should not be defaced. The culprit will be penalized for the same.
  20. Students are not allowed to bring sharp instrument, knife or any other object, which can cause injury to others.
  21. Students are not allowed to bring jewelry, expensive watches, bracelets etc. to the school. In case of loss, strict disciplinary action may be initiated against erring students.
  22. Wastepaper, fruit peels etc. must be thrown only in the waste-paper bins. Students should take care to keep the school premises clean.
  23. Books other than the text books or library books should not be brought to the school.
  24. Use of scooters/motorbikes is strictly prohibited.
  25. No student should indulge in any of the following practices:
    • Rowdyism and rude behavior
    • Use violence in any form
    • Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchability.
    • Bursting of crackers or throwing of colours among each other
  26. Any breach of decency or any work or action which is likely to lower the image of the school, is regarded as a breach of discipline.
  27. The school reserves the right to expel any student whose progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to the school atmosphere. Immorality, insubordination or contempt of authority and breaking bonds are some of the reasons for immediate expulsion or rustication.
  28. Walk on the sideways of the corridors. Don’t ever talk in the middle of corridor.
  29. No chewing gums, toffees, chocolates, chips allowed in campus.
  30. In case of the loss of the I-Card, the fine will be charged as follows
    1st Replacement-50/-, 2nd Replacement-100/-, 3rd Replacement-150/-

GUIDELINES/ RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

  1. Read the contents of this almanac carefully and abide by the rules laid down by the school authorities. It is also desired that the parents/ guardians should advise their wards about the content of the almanac. Ignorance of this will not be accepted as an excuse.
  2. Any communication made by you, should be addressed to the Principal/ Chairman through the Class Teacher and should always bear the name, Admission Number, Class and Section of your ward.
  3. The name, class and section should be clearly marked on all the belongings of the student, e.g. water bottle, bag, blazer, umbrella etc.
  4. You are required to inform the school about the change in your address or telephone number in writing.
  5. Children when sick should not be sent to school.
  6. Your ward should come to school in proper uniform on all working days and for all the school functions. Students who are not in proper uniform will not be allowed to enter their classrooms.
  7. You are requested to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help your ward’s progress by paying attention to his regularity, punctuality and discipline.
  8. Distribution of gift items like toffee, sweets etc. of any sort are prohibited even on special occasions.
  9. Presenting gifts or rewards to teachers/staff are strictly prohibited.
  10. Parents are requested not to enter classroom to see their children or teachers during class hours.
  11. (a) The school ensures primary medical aid to any student who has sustained any sort of Injury or accident during school hours.
    (b) Parents are liable to pay and bear all expenses incurred on the treatment of their ward for further medical treatment.
  12. In case of any legitimate complaint or if your ward is not showing the desired progress, you should meet the Principal/ chairman at the earliest or write to him/her personally.
  13. Parents’ attention is drawn to the fact that the criticism of the teacher or school in the presence of a child should be scrupulously avoided because it may develop in the student a feeling of disrespect and lack of regards for the teachers.
  14. Your ward should return his/her report card duly signed by you within two days of its receipt. You should acknowledge the receipt of the report card through the almanac. If the card is lost, a replacement will be made on payment of Rs.50.
  15. All students are expected to converse only in English while in school and we request parents to do so home as well.
  16. Parents are advised to be conscious of the fact that school is actually a supplement to the home and not its substitute. It is very important that parents/guardians extend unstinted co-operation to the school in all matter s concerning their wards. Parents should help the child to develop a study plan at home and must see that it is adhered to.
  17. Parents must assure that their wards do not carry any electronic article such as mobile phones, cameras, walkman, radio etc. to the school. Possession of such items by the students in the school is treated as an offence.
  18. On being called by the Principal/School authority/Person authorized by the Principal, Parents/Local guardian of the student duly authorized by them should ensure their presence in the school.
  19. Parents should encourage their wards to participate in Educational tours, Camps, Excursions, Seminars and all kinds of extra-curricular activities organized by the school for the overall development of the personality of the child.
  20. Parents are requested to accompany their ward in the school programmes per the requirement. Their gracious presence is highly solicited to inspire the students.
